Guys/Girls, does a lot of makeup make a girl look hot, or just trashy?

im just wondering what guys/girls think about this





the most i ever put on is some face stuff, eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, mascara and sometimes eyeshadow.. it sounds like a lot but i dont really cake it on


kinda in the middle





do guys like it when you wear more? obvioulsy this can make you look hot, or do you feel like the girl is trying to hard etc.





i know some girls who barely wear any and they can pull it off, but others cake it on, and ppl like me are kind of in between

make-up is not bad for girls and i admit it makes a girl look hot





ALTHOUGH girls should know when to stop putting make-up, i know a girl who puts too much make-up that it makes her look bad more than she looks good.

even if they say the 2nd one looks good, that is still too much make-up and i guess makes you look trashy, you should only put that much if your in some kind of fashion show or something not everyday.
too much make up makes a girl look trashy. girls/women need just enough make up to look natural. which means not much. just a light amount of foundation to cover any flaws, a light amount of blush(nothing really bright), a soft colour of eye shadow with just a hint of mascara (black only),no eyeliner. remember you need to try for a natural look not a CLOWN look. as for the lips just a little bit of lip gloss (clear or just a little hint of pink).
it's not really about how much your wearing, its about how much it LOOKS like your wearing.


because you can put on a lot of make up (or a good amount) and still look very natural, if you use the right colors.


but if you use bright purples and blues and stuff like that..then it looks trashy.





i try not to wear too much. i usually just wear eyeliner, mascara, and some powder foundation.
I think what ur wearing is fine. you can always do it up alittle more if your going out. and girls that wear to much noticle makeup is way trashy but there are ways to wear alot of makup and look good just as long as its done right. but for school and just hanging out light foundation masca eyeliner and lip gloss is really all you need.
any girl who wears a ton of make up (and you can obviously tell) is trashy and trying too hard. how old are you? day time make up should be natural.. foundation (if you need it), a little blush, mascara and a LITTLE eyeliner. what you wear is night time makeup. so lay off.

If you wear too much makeup wear it looks caked on, that's ugly. Some girls, like myself can pull it off by just wearing lipgloss...and lipstick on special occassions lol .


Others look just fine with a little foundation (I think its called), eyeliner and the other crap. Just don't over-do it.
If a girl wears a lot of makeup and she does it well, guys generally do not know or care - they just see a good looking face. However, if a girl puts on a lot of makeup and can't do it right - she looks not only trashy, but ugly.
it really depends on your complexion.


if you have a lighter complexion and lighter hair, eyelashes, etc, then it can look kind of trashy.





if you have darker lashes and hair then its totally fine, because it wont stand out as much.
If it looks good...it's not trashy.


but if there make up well eyeliner's all gross and VERY thick yeah.





like people who's a poser..such as this girl named carli brown in my grade, she cakes eyeliner on thick and goes around telling everyone there a poser.



well im 15 and I wear a lil makeup like mascara and eyeliner bt when yhu cake on ur makeup I think yhu look rlly fake like ur hiding ur TRUE beauty, most guys I knw think makeup is a lil trashy bt it all depends on the guy

But for me too much make up is like heavy eye makeup (thick black eyeliner, dark or bright eyeshadow, heavy mascara/fake lashes etc) PLUS like heavy blush and bright or dark lipstick.





I think the rule of thumb with makeup is to play up one feature and leave the rest simple. For example if you like eye makeup then play up your eyes as you like, less during day time, more at night, but choose colours that match your skin tones. Then just put a light sweep of your favorite blush and a neutral lipstick or lip gloss or even just plain lip balm, and it will not at all look overdone in my opinion. My boyfriend doesn't mind me simple or with makeup, he says when girls wear some makeup it looks nice. He always compliments my eye makeup when its smokey, but he's not a big fan of bright or super shiny lipstick/lip gloss.
