What makeup would you recommend for a hot outdoor August wedding?

I am getting married outdoors in August and am looking for some makeup that won't melt in the middle of the day. The ceremony is at 4:30, but we will be taking photos around 3pm so it will be hot and sunny. I normally wear NO makeup. None. Unless you count chapstick. I would like to wear some very subtle makeup that will make me look better in photos, but not make me look like a clown. Bonus if my fiance can't tell I'm wearing makeup, because he's very anti-makeup. Any suggestions?

Thanks! What makeup would you recommend for a hot outdoor August wedding?
hmmm; i recommend a waterproof mascara- but not too much otherwise it'll be noticeable! just brush it through your lashes very lightly to provide some length and thickness. try using an eyelash curler too- it's not 'makeup' and it'll open up your eyes beautifully.

i presume if you wear no makeup then (even though your fiance doesn't like it) your skin must also be pretty good and foundation can a) reflect badly in photographs and b) melt easily, and if you're not used to wearing it you don't want to buy anything that would make you break out! some light blusher maybe, to make you look flushed and pretty, a liquid stain would look very natural. maybe some eyebrow gel to keep your eyebrows in place.

you could try a small amount of eyeliner, though not in black, that's not natural! maybe try a small amount of brown, applied really close to the lashline, just for some definition. a bit of highlighter too, under your brows and on your cheekbones would add definition and shimmer without looking unnatural. finally, a clear lipgloss? or even just vaseline on your lips!

also; if you're not used to wearing makeup i recommend practicing before the day so you know how much you can wear and how much looks natural.

the stuff i've recommended shouldn't melt at all, also maybe go with a waterproof eyeliner too, i forgot to say :)

good luck and i hope you have a fantastic day xxxWhat makeup would you recommend for a hot outdoor August wedding?
If you're not used to wearing or applying makeup then I would DEFINITELY recommend using a makeup artist. I consider myself fairly experienced with makeup, and even I didn't do my own for my wedding day. Makeup for photography is a specialised thing, and makeup artists really are the pros when it comes to this. Even if you're after a very subtle look, they will be able to correct your complexion so it looks amazing (think of all the models in magazine ads with that ';no makeup'; look and perfect skin... a lot of that is actually makeup).

Also, if you do not own much makeup, you'll find it cheaper in the long run to use an artist, as the cost of buying every single product you would need will add up to a lot.
i highly recommend MAC.

they'll give you a color that's your exact skin tone.

you could also have them do it the day of your wedding or when you go to get the color thats just right for you, they'll teach you how to make it look like your not wearing any mae up at all.

once you use MAC you'll never go back (:
