I have a hot yellow dress, how should i do my makeup?

i am 20 years old and please tell me the makeup tips which won't make me look older than my ageI have a hot yellow dress, how should i do my makeup?
1. Apply a sleek toner onto your face

2. With a makeup sponge, apply base

3. With a new makeup sponge, apply foundation

4. Apply powder blush, just a hint of pink for a rosy glow, with a dome-shaped blush brush

5. Get some black mascara and, with a tissue, wipe off most of the black color off of the mascara wand. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler (BE CAREFUL), and then apply the mascara. This creates a natural look with less clumps.

6. Spritz hairspray on an eyebrow comb with bristles and comb your brows the way they grow.

7. Slick on your favorite lip gloss and you're ready to go!

Additional tips:

1. Since your dress is yellow, make sure none of your makeup is blue or green, or it will clash!

2. Make sure all your makeup is blended well.

Have a great day, gorgeous!I have a hot yellow dress, how should i do my makeup?
Make-up applied too heavily (or using color palettes unflattering to your skin tone) will make anyone look older and not necessarily for the better. At 20, less is more and any make-up you use should just play up the natural glow or fresh look - esp with a hot yellow dress.

Tips: use a warm color base instead of cool, don't go overboard on foundations or powder, use the lighter eye shadows with a dark eyeliner to accentuate the eyes and also keep the lip shade lighter and warm instead of too bright or overly dark. Depending whether the event is for day or evening, you can play a bit with the eyeshadow and lip color - going slightly darker for evening and lighter for the day.
That depends on which shade of yellow it is and what the shade of your skin is. If the dress is light yellow and/or you have a lighter face, you can use softer colors like pinks or lavenders. If the dress is more of a more of a mustard, you can use darker colors. Still, the darker colors might make you look older. When in doubt, you can always go to the cosmetics counter at a department store like Macy's or Nordstrom. They can give you a free once-over with the make-up brush to show you how to look your best.
you don't say your skin color or hair color.

You want to wear the dress, you don't want the dress to wear you.

Yellow is a color of caution in fashion, just as in life. what exactly were you trying to say with this dress? to back up, proceed with caution? or what?

if you are black you might want to use a lightly yellow lightly sparkly eye shadow or pencil on the lid. maybe a little shimmer to the neck chest and arms, depending on your weight and size.

if you are white, the best place to get a make up tip is at Ulta. You bring your dress in and tell the people who are the expects what the occasion is for and they are excellent at helping.

If your skin is white and you have blonde hair, you might want to use medium to light blues on the lids and perhaps some yellow, if you have the right tone. NARS makes a great cheek enhancers, the best color is called ';orgasm';.

it really a great color and makes your skin look dewy and sexy, but yet innocent. its a great product.

if you have to many red tones to your skin, consider using a green under the base, made by Smashbox, it will help tone the reds and use a brown blush, not pink or anything pinkish or orangish, yuck, brown is excellent to kill the red, but bring out the beauty of a womens cheek for hiding redness.

i would be more helpful if you gave more info. i hope i helped a little.

PS. Nars, smashbox, urban decay. they all make products that are very youthful looking and star quality to them. you will look like a model!

the way i endorse these fine products, they should pay me.
for yellow - just dust yourself with a little bronzer and then some ';gold'; dust on highlight areas, like your brow bone, a tiny bit on the apple of your cheeks, and, if they are showing, your shoulders.

the rest of your makeup should be very neutral with the exception of a bit of heavy liner (navy or smoke is nice) and dark mascara on the eyes.

DON'T wear any pink makeup - pink based foundation, blush or whatever looks horrible with yellow.
you're worried about looking older than twenty? haha. you're young enough (I just turned fifteen) Wear you know bronze or light pink colored blush or something. A medium-dark pink lipstick or lipgloss to look shiny, and some eyeliner. I'd stick to black, the other colors (brown, purple, blue, etc.) I think would look kind of wierd. wear some mascara (black) but not like it looks like you're wearing too much. Wearing a yellow dress usually means you're going for a summery look, and I think these colors would compliment this well. Hope I helped!!

shay
black and yellow go well together, try black eyeliner and mascara. With the eyeshadow make it subtle, but still black, it will look really good. to make it subtle blend it in with a shade which is similar to ur skin. with ur lips, keep it clear, or just a slight pink, but glittery, put alot on and then your pout will stand out.
I'd go for browns... Black'll make you look like a bumble bee. maybe purples, depends on your complexion. To me yellow seems really youthful so you don't wanna be too heavily made up.. I'd go for like brown eyeliner, curl the eyelashes, dark brown mascara, something a little lighter than your eyes on the lids to make you look awake, and then like a nice shiny pink lip. And blush. We're going for like ';youthful glow'; here. Good luck!
MAKEUP

Wear eyeliner to define your eyes in the dark, making them more spellbounding...

Use a powder or eyeshadow a lighter colour than your skin along the inside of your eyes and just below the eybrow to help widen your eyes making them open up.
start with a basic foundation then a light blush. add a deeper lip color and top it off with bronze and brown shades for eye shadow. along with black mascara and brown eye liner. wear your hair up if it's long enough.

hope I helped.

Francesca :]
the dress already pops...go with plum lipstick and light makeup and dark eyes..

click the link for example
a small bit of eyeliner at the inside corner and the outside and a nice plum sparkly shadow that isn't too too dark. also some light lipgloss like the clear chapstick gloss thing from bath and body works and a tiny bit of blush.

Reds will make a big statement with yellow.

If you use black you will look to much like a bubble bee tho.
I don;t think a yellow dress will make you look older but, you should go with light summer colors.
use eye liner and bright red lip gloss

also get a tan and it will make you look a little older
blush, gold eye shadow, black eye liner, and lots of mascara
Maybe a light rouge in the blush and lips.
a gray smokey eye with a rose blush and a clear glossy lip.
in winter.....
smokey eye

;)
smokey look

go to belks or jcpenny and get them to do your makeup...
light amounts of eye liner and maybe pale reds, oranges, would work
purple or pink eyeshadow, blush, and red lipstick
