Okay,so i need to re-freshen my look.
I have dark eyes and eyebrows, PLUS dark-ish hair. so dark eyemakup seems to really overpower my face. ( not in a good way ! haha )
I wear makeup on a daily basis, and i have come to believe that black eyeliner, is what always works for me, i look weird without it. I've tried alot of eyeshadows on, And the one that most worked for me was gold, I applied to to the eyelid, and a light dusting underneath my lower lashline. It really makes my eyes stand out. But i'm tired of looking the same. And i want them too REALLY stand out, and look good.

For me make is all about balance don't want people to tell I wear makeup when they can, I feel like clown. I only wear a little I want to still look and feel just like me only with redder lips and longer eyelashes. I care about if my make up harms me ,very much ! To believe that a company would risk peoples live just to sell a tube of lip stick ticks me off ! I hate how make up is always globbed on , it can make people look scary. But if it makes some one feel good about them selves them the have every right to wear it .What do you love/hate about makeup? Is it hot or gross? What is your overall opinion on it? Tell me!?

over all i looooooove makeup. and ifu wear a lot, you need to make sure that everything is your right color and looks good. Its hard to make makeup look natural, but you just dont want to go over board! but otherwise, i love the way i do my makeup.
i think it's a bit overrated, people make a huge fuss about having ';100% longer lashes'; and stuff. some people wear way too much make up. y'know they have thick foundation plastered onto their faces and sticky ';glossy'; lips etc. it doesn't look nice.

i think they're hot! i use only black eye liner and i think it suits a lot of people very well because it gives you an exotic look, kind of dark but i think i looks best on people with darker attributes like a natural blonde would probably look kinda weird with it because they had blonde eye lashes and it makes their eyes look more narrow because eye liner does give a narrowing look it makes eyes look more squinted but i think it's very in and it gives a person alotta mystery within their look

Goth makeup and hot weather?
Whats the best eyeliner, mascara, lipstick I can use in the hot temps we've been having. If I wear my usual Kohl pencil and stargazer mascara, black lipstick my face turns to mush in the heat. This bums me out as I now hate going out wit out makeup.Goth makeup and hot weather?
black lipstick is usually c rap because its oily and melts in hot weather (if u use stargazer then ull know what im talking about) so use black eyeliner pencil, that wont come off ya lips!

2: use a waterproof mascara it wont melt away easy
3: prepare your lips by using a concealer to make a base and to make the lips flesh toned set it with a loose powder (rimmel for both) apply a coat of lipstick use a lip brush set the first coat of lipstick using a light coat of the powder and reapply the lipstick

Mascara - I've never actually seen a goth dude wearing mascara - that's a bit odd - but the best I've found is Makeup Forever's waterproof mascara. Also, for eyeliner, a kohl pencils generally don't have much staying power. I'm assuming you are doing a smokey/smeared look with your eyes and thus would not be interested in liquid liner, but if I'm wrong, I can recommend some good liquid liners for you. The best non smudging pencil eyeliner I've ever tried (and I've tried some really expensive ones) is this Almay eyeliner:

Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, Halle Berrie, Jessica Alba ( and remeber what Brittany Spears used to look like). They are not ';toothpicks';. So slow down on the weight loss. Add a workout with some weights ( not a lot of weight). Nothing is sexier than a woman with lean tight legs. That comes from weights.
Secondly, always look ';clean';. That means your clothes (name brands aren't the key. How they fit is important), your hair, your skin.
Next, be confident. Confident does not mean ';a b****';, being mean or rude, or criticizing others to make yourself look better. If you praise others you will have more friends than enemies.
As for socially, find out what you do well and get so good at it other people come to you for help. The more people ';need'; you the more they will socialize with you. This is not the greatest thing about society, but is truest thing in the world.
Don't be fake. It won't last. You will eventually get ';found out'; and you look stupid as ever.
Don't be afraid to talk about sex but don't be a slutty hoe. In other words be confident and comfortable but don't do everything you talk about. Most guys your age don't know that much about sex either.
Read and find out about things you want to talk about. Don't try to prove you are smarter than everyone else (not cute). Just know what you are talking about when you say it. What I found out is that your makeup does not ';melt.'; What happens is that the heat sucks up moisture causing your face to produce oil and sweat. This oil and sweat breaks down the makeup, causing it to run, which makes it seem as if it is melting.
Just try putting on an oil mattifier before you put on your makeup and that should help. If not, try a waterproof makeup (which would resist the sweat).
I had the same problem I like to use any of Mary Kay foundation or powder. I usually use the Mineral powder because it blends for a airbrush finish. But your face still looks natural. Also when I apply it last all day and does run or fall apart during the day.

There are products you can apply that will help control moisture and oil during the summer. However, I agree with the previous poster that mineral or powder based foundations work best during hot weather. Try to keep your summer look lighter, and opt to highlight your eyes and lips with waterproof shadows %26amp; liners, mascara, and a nice, frosty lip gloss. You'll look great without being (or feeling) over-done or patchy.

Your foundation is probably oil based. Try water based makeup. Like Maybelline Pure Makeup. And use loose powder, not compact. And avoid the concealer unless u truely need it for spot coverage. Too much stuff on your face in the heat is not good. Lighter is better in the summer. Just get a foundation that is like foundation plus moisture or something like that. Don't take this the wrong way, but liquid concealer will never stay. Good thing you put powder, it keeps it in it's place. Ever notice how when you leave youe concealer in the heat it gets alot more loose. Bingo.
Best Bet: Try The Mineral Powder. It gets rid of reddness. Covers blemishes and pores.
And it's healthier for you're skin.
Try it ... I have an amazing complexion and it works for me as well as my mother. And she has an anything but perfect complexion.

I had the same problem. Try Origins products for your skincare and look into their Reflection Perfection foundation. My makeup used to slip right off my face within minutes. Reflection Perfections stays on the whole day and actually feels very nice-
do you use moisturizer? if you do, wait 10 minutes after applying the moisturizer to apply any other make up so that its completely absorbed in your skin. i used to have the same problem, the only thing that really helped was skipping the foundation.

You need a better foundation, I did and its Bee Luscious Cosmetics mineral liquid powder, it goes on liquid for great coverage but it drys powdery soft and it lasts all day, I live in a very hot,sticky,humid state and trust me this product stays on its the best product I have ever seen and used successfully.
During the summer I have to wear the color stay kind or another brand's equivalent. It is humid where I live and work

Switch foundations, carry around some blotting papers to remove excess oils on the face, or you can invest in some water-resistant or waterproof cosmetics. Tarte has a wonderful waterproof mascara called Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof mascara that comes is very helpful and comes in a cute little denim tube.
The difference between waterproof and water resistant is that waterproof is used to protect against being emerged in water while water resistant is designed to protect makeup from running because of hot weather or anything else that may case it to run off.

Stila smudge pots are awesome liners in a pot that won't move after they are applied. Hope these work out -- If the product is waterproof it will do the trick.

Instead, in the summer, I wear a heavier powder foundation that works double duty and stays put all day. After the base powder, I like to brush on some bronzer to my cheeks to stay glowing all-day.

I have found that not wearing concealer and foundation in the summer are the best solution. I only wear those in the winter. Instead, in the summer, I wear a heavier powder foundation that works double duty and stays put all day. After the base powder, I like to brush on some bronzer to my cheeks to stay glowing all-day.

Get a good moisturiser with a tan enhancer that carries a sun protection factor of 15 plus. Apply just a little to give you a soft glow. Apply a little blusher, a soft powder shadow in the colour of your choice and apply a coordinated waterproof mascara. Use a soft colour lipgloss and you will look cool and natural. You should not wear heavy makeup in hot weather, it causes spots or eruptions and it slides off your face. Add a little lid liner for evening wear.
Throw all your existing cosmetics into a cupboard until winter.
Your skin will improve, you will get a little natural colour without damage to your skin.
waterproof eye makeup so that the humid weather or your sweat doesnt make it drip. use NYC products for your eyemakeup because those products arent tested on animals. then lipgloss instead of lipstick. use neolia olive oil shampoo and conditioner cuz it makes your hair soft and silky. you can get it at costco. bear minerals is a really good foundation. i like the costco blush.

You can also spray a little bit of hairspray on your face to help your make-up stay.
You can get loads of waterproof makeup now but id suggest you didnt wear too much foundation / powder etc bcoz heat opens ur pores and makeup blocks it.
Make up forever face and body foundation is waterproof and set it with make up for ever high definition powder , makes you skin matte and your foundation last all day, grap a waterproof version of your favorite mascara :D

To do this you will need bronzer, nude gloss that isn't TOO shiny, a shimmery nude shadow and a black mascara that will just enhance the lashes. then apply a dark brown eyeliner to to top lash line and blend it in with a q-tip apply to the bottom waterline which is right above the lashline
then apply the maybelline great lash mascara... THE BEST EVER!!... two coats to the top and one to the bottom
buy a waxy lip balm instead of lipgloss because lip gloss is tacky when it needs to be reapplied or worse when it looses its glossyness and the waxyness of the lip balm is suttle but chic at the same time a nude lip is totally in if you want a bit of color try a tinted lip balm with a hint of shimmer
also whats totally cute is to match your shoes laces with your uniform say you wear a red shirt take a pair or plain chucks and put some red shoelaces in them it may look sorta tacky but ud be surprised what guys notice lolContagious rash

Put your hair back in a messy bun and put in a elastic headband. The messy bun looks great after a workout, because it started out looking adorably messy (not too messy, lol). The headband keeps any hair out of your face. Bobby pins or barettes of any sort are illegal in varsity level soccer, so do not use those.
I use Covergirl LastBlast mascara (waterproof). That stuff is hardcore! Don't worry about blush and eyeliner, but really splurge on some great concealer/foundation at a Clinique counter where there's experts to help you (found in places like Macy's, Herberger's, etc.)

wear make up that's waterproof. I would suggest wearing a primer under your foundation. That helps it stay in place. Wear liquid eye shadow that will dry and stay in place. Then skip eyeliner and colored mascara and just use clear. You can even get a gel blush that will stay in place better. I buy most of my eye makeup on avon and it seems to last pretty well. The primer that I use is Rimell, and I love it. I use cover girl foundation and then maybelline mineral makeup powder. I hope this helps. It might still sweat off but you are less likely to have smudges everywhere.

Unfortunatly sweating is natural and the hotter it is, the more you sweat. We lose 40%+ of our excess heat through our head. Fortunatly, this keeps us from frying our brains, though far too many people find other means of doing that.

IMPORTANT not to touch anywhere near the eyes and not the lips as it creates a nasty feeling in your mouth. And wash the fingers thoroughly
Another way is to use loose powder instead of the creamy base.

I use the ';superfit makeup';. i have been using it for years, and not only does it work in any kind of weather, it doesn't make me break out. also, i have found it really easy to match it to my skin depending on what time of the year it is and weather or not i am tan. another good thing about it, is it is really great quality stuff and doesn't cost as much as brands like Dior or Chanel, but i think it is better. If you top off the clinique foundation with Benefit ';get even'; pressed powder, your face will not need touching up for hours. i wear loreal paris true match foundation. first i moisturise and let it dry. then apply foundation with my fingertips. finish with powder and add blush. i do keep a compact of powder with me for touchups thruout the day but i have been satisfied with the loreal. it isn't heavy and doesn't clog my pores.
Try Revlon Colorstay. It works great for me and really has staying power. Even through humidity and sweat.

Makeup for a hot tub party?
I am going to a party with a hot tub. Should I wear makeup? I want to have the possibility of going underwater, but will the waterproof mascara come off? Any suggestions?Makeup for a hot tub party?
Hi, I would have to say that I wouldn't really trust the waterproof mascara. But what I would do is not wear any mascara and just wear some lip gloss. or something. But if you really insist on wearing the mascara I would test it. The people here are telling the truth. A hot tub is hot and steamy so even waterproof may smear or run if you wipe the (sweat for men) glow off your face. If you are over 18, then I would suggest a red bikini as that always makes the statement that you know you are hot and everyone else will too. If under 18, you must follow the parents rules.

Try using a liner pencil designed for use on the waterline, and line the TOP waterline.

I love looking sexy, and I just want to know some different yet sexy ways to do my makeup.
I do it pretty much the same everyday.
I use some gold eye shadow on my lids, Volumizing black mascara on my top lashes, and black eye liner on my inner rims of my bottom lid.
and of course coverup and powder.
What are some other things I can do? but I don't want to look like a drag queen or look like I'm caking on the makeup. I want it to be sexy natural :)

Stila has a dark, metallic blue that's called Pewter. Put this in your crease. $16
Use a light icy blue underneth your brow and in the inner corner of your eye to add depth. I'd suggest Stila in poppy..it's a shimmery light blue. $16
This would look great along black liner on the bottom lids. It will make light blue eyes so intense!

Switch it up! use a shimmer right below the brow and then add a light color then layer with some sparkle. add white liner on the corners of your eyes and put maskara on top and bottem add very natural looking skin products ( not hevey on the blush) and WAHLA

If you want something different, you can always try using a combination of colors on your eyes. start with a black liner on the bottom line your bottom inner rims and under your eyes, with a q-tip or the tip of your pinky, smudge the liner under the eye to give a smokey look. i would line the top with the same liner and try a sparkly black eyeshadow, (m.a.c. works great) with silver on the brow(or even a neutral color) if you want to add another color, try dabbing a bright color just in the inner corners of your eyes. of course top with your regular mascara!
For going out try a smokey purple eye. Use a light color over your entire lid, a medium color in the crease, and the darkest color in the corner ';v'; of your eye. Try some pearlescent white or champagne on your browbone, tops of your cheekbones and the cupids bow of your lips... instant sexy.
For a more natural look, try a brown or plum liner instead of black and use a peachy blush and natural color lip... it will bring out your natural beauty without looking over done...

I live in heat and my skin is oily so I understand! I like Almay foundation. Instead of powder on top, which gets cakey when you reapply, I just blot my face with Kleenex. I also wash my face midday and reapply foundation. For eye shadow, you need a strong pigment. I have a shimmer quad from Revlon but only the turquoise and blue really show up. Companies advertise ';neutrals'; but they just don't do anything on the eye. Try just powder and nude gloss and not much else. Most wear no makeup during summer much anyways cuz people go swimming or it's too hot. Bare Essentials is good. But I just go without makeup most of the time anyways. I look like I'm 12 or something but hey that will be a good thing when I'm like 60 and look almost ten years younger right? LOL (I'm 21 atm)

I live in heat and my skin is oily so I understand! I like Almay foundation. Instead of powder on top, which gets cakey when you reapply, I just blot my face with Kleenex. I also wash my face midday and reapply foundation. For eye shadow, you need a strong pigment. I have a shimmer quad from Revlon but only the turquoise and blue really show up. Companies advertise ';neutrals'; but they just don't do anything on the eye. Put your hair back in a messy bun and put in a elastic headband. The messy bun looks great after a workout, because it started out looking adorably messy (not too messy, lol). The headband keeps any hair out of your face. Bobby pins or barettes of any sort are illegal in varsity level soccer, so do not use those.
I use Covergirl LastBlast mascara (waterproof). That stuff is hardcore! Don't worry about blush and eyeliner, but really splurge on some great concealer/foundation at a Clinique counter where there's experts to help you (found in places like Macy's, Herberger's, etc.)

The primer that I use is Rimell, and I love it. I use cover girl foundation and then maybelline mineral makeup powder. I hope this helps. It might still sweat off but you are less likely to have smudges everywhere.

Unfortunatly sweating is natural and the hotter it is, the more you sweat. We lose 40%+ of our excess heat through our head. Fortunatly, this keeps us from frying our brains, though far too many people find other means of doing that.

the easiest way is to use deodorant :)
seriously - just sligtly touch the deodorant stick with your fingertips and then glide the fingers over the forehead, and other areas when you get most of the sweat. IMPORTANT not to touch anywhere near the eyes and not the lips as it creates a nasty feeling in your mouth. And wash the fingers thoroughly

try keeping your hair up and if you have bangs keep them back too,...and wear light colored clothing
(assuming if you are overweight) Then loose some weight the fat acts as an insulator keeping you nice and hot.
Use water resistant/proof makeup.
How bout you don't use any or not wear it quite so heavily
sweating is a natural phenonmenon,
facial sweating is also important to retain the skin temperature and gain coolness internally of your facial skin,
health is first than beauty.
its better not to be in a hot place, if there are alternative cool place to be.
if you try to stop ur sweating, you probably are deteriorating ur skin closing the sweat pores and imbalancing ur skin temperature, and encouraging damage of your facial cells.
the easiest way is to use deodorant :)
seriously - just sligtly touch the deodorant stick with your fingertips and then glide the fingers over the forehead, and other areas when you get most of the sweat. IMPORTANT not to touch anywhere near the eyes and not the lips as it creates a nasty feeling in your mouth. And wash the fingers thoroughly
Another way is to use loose powder instead of the creamy base.
