How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?

Am at wedding and makeup (in my opinion) never lasts the whole day- even the expensive stuff- its all lies! anyway is there some trick im missing, i get an oily t-zone so that doesnt help- help me you lot!How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?
You can do several things and a few of them come down to skincare more than makeup. You want to start with a clean face (of course,) a toner and an oil controling moisturizer (like biore perfect oil free shine control. It helps control the oil that your face will produce. Notice that I said HELPS, not prevents. Make sure that you let this dry and absorb into your skin for 5 to 10 min.

Next, you want to use a foundation primer or mattifier. I like MAC prep and prime or sephora primer. It is a clear lotion that you apply over your skin to help control shine and give your face a clean pallet and smooth feel. I find that this goes on best with a clean foundation brush (plus you dont have to worry about transfering oil from your hands to your face.) Let it absorb into your skin another 5 min.

Next, apply an oil free or powder foundation. If you need to apply more for heavier coverage, allow the first layer to dry. Again, use a foundation brush to prevent transfer from oils of your hands to your face. You may say, but my hands are clean, I washed them when i washed my face. Well that was 10-15 min ago, depending on how long it takes your products to dry and absorb AND you have been handeling product bottles lol.

After your foundation is complete, the next step is to set it. I use what i call the double set. I mist my face with a homemade toning mist made of rosewater, aloe, white birch extract, witch hazel, glycerine and grapefruit seed extract that I keep in a spray bottle. I spray about 5 inches from my face and wait for it to dry. Once it dries, I then apply an oil controlling loose powder. Look for products with china (kanolin) clay, rice flower, cornstarch, or silica in the ingredients. More of them (i.e kanolin and sillica) are better than just one (cornstarch.)

Make sure you look for china or kanolin clay when looking for powders as just regular clay can sometimes clog pores.

To help control oil throughout the day, I use my toner spray, followed by a blotting with blotting tissues and then follow with a dusting of powder (if i need it.) I live in Northern California and our standard summers are 110. The regimin i described above keeps me oil free and my make up last as least 10 hrs.

You may also want to add a weekly sea clay mask to help control excess oil. Use it at night for best results. I am including a link below where u can order sea clay (its really cheap) Just mix it with water, apply to face, let dry 10-20 min and then rinse off.How do i stop my makeup sliding off my face in the hot weather?
This is the question I needed, thanks. :)

A light spritz of hair spray on your face will set your makeup.

Of course make sure you shut your eyes and mouth when you do this. Use an aerosol spray can no pumps.
get water proof makeup!

use a dry/powder foundation.

don't touch your face.

wash your face 2-3 times a day (Morning %26amp; night preferrably).

=)
dont wear any, you vain so and so.
Talk to a local Mary Kay consultant about some products, I love my oil matifier, they also have some stuff that'll keep your lipstick and your eyemakeup on. If you aren't intersting in purchasing full size product for a one time use, schedule an appointment to get it done professionally. They know all the tricks.
none at all... dont use a foundation in the summer... here is a trick moisterize heavy then use your face powder pat on dust off... it works nice and natural and clean
you can buy t - zone strips from boots superdrug etc. for a reasonable price , you blot your tzone with them throughout the day and they help to soak up any excess moisture thus helping your makeup to stay on longer. You could also try using a makeup primer or base before applying makeup , i would try to avoid oil based liquid foundations and stick to a light easy wearing powder, benefit does a good selection of compacts that you may find work for you.also i find if you have a special occassion to attend moisturise your face the night before and dont apply moisturiser before your makeup the next day. it does work! if you desperately need to use some just use a little , your makeup shud rest on ur face better. as sometimes too much moisturiser can make your face greasy and no amount of makeup will stick to that.
dont wear it!! the make-up will just make ur skin oily-er anyway!!
Always start your make-up routine with a good foundation primer, and finish with loose powder to set the make-up. Good Luck!
If you are at a wedding, sorry to say you'll just have to keep reapplying it- Or you can use powder or waterproof makeup. Try Maybelline waterproof mascara %26amp; Almay's liquid eyeliner (black) for above your top eye lid. You might want to try fake eyelashes too- a little hard to put on, but they will last all night
try oil free moisturiser and foundation.take a powder with u 2 blot the excess moisture off ur face.
In the summer, we tend to perspire more than other times of the year. That and like you mentioned, some oily zones on your face. Do a self facial before applying makeup, so that you are starting with very clean skin. Go with a light powder foundation rather than a liquid. Next apply very light eye makeup. A sheer look is really nice for summer. Go light on the mascara, just a bit is fine.

The key to looking nice in the summer months is that a natural, minimal look is perfectly fine, even for special occasions like weddings and parties.
If you are nice looking then you don't need makeup. Then you don't have a problem in hot weather....
Stick it with a tape or glue , it will never slip of again until you wash it hardly.
You could always give waterproof mascara a try. I'm not sure if there's waterproof eyeshadow... But yeah.

I've tried waterproof mascara, and it works really well. It comes off more easily, but it stops the makeup from sliding and smearing.
you have some good answers, foxy diva should have her own show!

My only tip is to practice wearing as little as possible so there is less to worry about. Afterall a 'dewy/ moist' look is lovely. If you normally wear foundation all over, try just using it where you need it most. Leave as much skin as possible free to breathe. But you will inevitably have to reapply. Mascara can cause a lot of mess if it runs and waterproof still smudges if skin is oily; dying them and then just slicking with a bit of vaseline may look better. Just experiment over a few hot days in advance!
its not the make-up it s how you apply your right, try steaming your face ie, get a bowl poor hot water in it put a towel over you head and bowl just how you would if you were trying to clear a cold, once done this for around 10 minutes exfolite you r face with non abbrasive. apply your make-up, carry with you a spray bottle,(you can get some small handbag sizes) just containing water when your make-up feels like it is sliding off, spray on your face, this brings the make-up back to the surface of your face.
i think that you need to use a good foundation. mine has always worked. i ues the powder foundation. and water proof maskara. i don't know. it works for me, so i don't know if it will work for you.
ok try using a powder foundation instead of a kiquid. In the summer time its really hard to keep foundation on especially if you have oily skin. They have several mousse foundations out now that work really well, my favorite is beyond color mousse by Avon. Another thing to try is a bronzer instead of using foundation. It gives off a pretty glow and a slight tinted color to you skin. I think that looks much better than the foundation look. If you have any questions email me anytime,.
All you need is Mary Kay cosmetics -NR.1 in USA. It's fantastic you will love it, if you are interested in learning more about Mary Kay cosmetics call me on 087 6132530 or you can go on www.marykay.com .I will help you because I'm a independent beauty consultant of Mary Kay cosmetics
well get the powdewr one not the one on the bodle
use an oil free moisuriser 1st and then wait 15min before applying makeup, use an oil free concealor or foundation and then ... and this is the key, use loose powder with a big powder brush and take a compct with you for touch ups or buy some blotting pads, the body shop do really good ones some have tea tree in etc.
MAC has a foundation primer. Get the matte one if your skin is oily.
use waterproof make up!
