Makeup is good if you do not notice it. It gets to be too much when it jumps out at you. Old saying, Less is More.
Beautiful is your natural, clean cut kind of look. Hot is your mascara and eyeliner sexy girl look. Neither is better than the other. It depends on your mood and what you're wearing.

I can't speak for him, but since it's your bf, hot is good sometimes, but keep times for just you w/o makeup - maybe when your're at the mall or someplace he might get jealous at.
Well, he is stating the obvious, when you can't see any little flaws, you appear more attractive to HIM. However, I am one who likes a girl natural (little makeup, but not like how some girls wear so much it is like a 2nd skin- comes off as shallow, low self esteem, and cheap)
I believe women should not wear the WAR PAINT they are more beautiful with out it.

But, if I were to choose just one, I'd rather be hot than beautiful. A beautiful face (physical beauty, in general) doesn't last forever; it could be augmented or faked w/ cosmetics %26amp; surgeries; it doesn't have a universal appeal (people define/see beauty differently). When you're hot, however, it's something natural....and when guys say you're ';hot';, they are talking about the total you (not just your face) and last but not least - once you're hot, you're always hot!
You're one lucky woman if your man says you're beautiful and you're hot. Thank your stars!
