Is makeup primer necessary?

I wear concealer and studio fix powder and it keeps me matte all day, do i really need primer?Is makeup primer necessary?
makeup primer isn't necessary, however i find that my makeup tends to look, feel, and last longer with a moisturizer under it.Is makeup primer necessary?
use monistat chafe relief powder gel, it's cheaper and works good at setting your makeup. I use bare minerals and it works to keep your skin shine free for hours. Report Abuse

who have oily skin


or want a fuller heavier finish


that will last the whole day


but mac powder lasts great on its own


and since you dont need liquid foundation,


i highly doubt you need primer


at least not daily





you could get some for times where your


up all night or dont want to reapply
yes primer makes your foundation goes on smooth and fresh and gives your skin a natural glow
Yeah, if the sheetmetal has a lot of wear, tear, dents, abrasions, and rust on it, primer is a good idea.

No. It doesn't hurt if you have oily skin...but the only primer that I find worth the price is eyeshadow primer.

no. its not necessary, but it does help keep it in place. even though its technically for eyeshadow, urban decay makes an amazing eye primer. i use it for blemishes so my powder doesnt come off as easy.

No, using too much makeup is terrible for your skin. If you like your daily regimen, stick too it. Anything else added may be too much.
It's not one of those things that you are going to try and say ';How did I ever live without this!';





I have the prep and prime primer from MAC and it's keeps my foundation from wearing off a lot longer than without it, and my face doesnt get as oily.





But its not a drastic difference. I think I paid like 40.00 for it and it wasn't worth it.





I only use it if I know it's going to be a long day or night of partying, but like I said, it's not exactly amazing.
